How to promote a product lower than 9.99USD

We have a product with price of 9.99 USD, the competitors’ prices are about 9-16USD. We have sold for half a year, but only about 10 orders one month. The budget for ads is about 15USD per day. Would you please give some advice on how to promote it?

I do not understand. You sell 10 units at about $10 each. So, $100 a month. But you spend $15 a day, so for a 30 day month, you spend $450 a month.

Oh, you stated the budget is $15/day. Hopefully you are not spending $450/m to sell $100/m

The advice??? No one here can give you advice. Every product in every category is different.

If you are selling a towel holder and I search Amazon for a towel hold and see 100 of the same product exact product that you are selling. Well, good luck with that.

Well you have to think how many items you want to sell and then I usually do $100 a day for ads. It pays at the end

If you have the BuyBox you can share it on social media, you can use the ‘share’ link located on the listing page, just make sure that friends and family know not to leave feedback or write reviews.

It can be done. You need to have your ACOS where it makes sense. You have to be bidding on keywords that are not too expensive. You also have to have an excellent detail page. Be better than the competition. It must be a product that people will buy. There are products that are not worth advertising. Among them would be product where somebody else might piggy back. They will ruin your investment.

Without knowing your actual numbers (how much did you spend on advertising, not simply what you budgeted). How much did you sell? What was your net profit after all costs? What percent of sales was due to advertising?

How much do you have to sell? What is your motivation to sell (opportunity/debt/space/etc.)? How long do you have to move your inventory? How invested are you in this product? If you get sales moving, do you have access to a steady supply? Is the supply scalable?

A few questions first:

  1. Does your product have any advantages over your competitors’ ?
  2. Do your images reflect the advantages of the product?
  3. Do your bullet points / title easy to read?

If these basics are fine, then go on.

About Ads, you just tell us $15 per day, how does it work? how many clicks per day and how many precise clicks (refer to the keyword of your product) ? Which keyword bring sale and where is your ad ? You have to check these info and then make improvements, for example: few clicks – increase clicks by increase CPC …
