New PL Seller - Sourcing Kids & Baby Toys from Alibaba - Seeking Advice

Hello everyone,

I'm a new seller on Amazon, focusing on Private Label (PL) kids and baby toys. Currently, I’m in the process of sourcing products from Alibaba and I have a few questions I’d love to get advice on:

1- Is it okay to source products from manufacturers without making any modifications, other than adding my logo?

2- I’m planning to test the market with 3 different products, ordering 20 pieces of each. Does this seem like a good approach for a small test run?

3- What certifications or documentation are needed to ensure these products are approved for sale on Amazon (especially for kids and baby toys)?

Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!

Items having to do with children and especially babies require various sorts of certifications. You are unlikely to receive paperwork that will pass even if Amazon accepts the invoices.
