Seller Exploiting FBA by Commingling Fake Product with Real Product
Is there anything that can be done about sellers exploiting FBA by sending in fake product and having it commingled with real product? There is a seller I'm almost certain is doing this as their price for one of my best selling ASINs is too low to turn a profit unless they are selling counterfeits, and the item is known to be heavily counterfeited.
Looking through their reviews, I see they have a lot of 1-star reviews from customers who've reported receiving fakes but almost all of them are crossed out since the item was fulfilled by Amazon through FBA. This is a massive loophole that allows fraudsters to use FBA to sell counterfeit product and never be held accountable for it.

This has been going on for more that 20 years. That's why, if you decide FBA is profitable for you, you never select Commingling product.
It is not really a loophole. With enough buyer complaints, Amazon will do one or all of three things.
1- Ask to see the manufacturer's invoice showing the seller has a commercial credit account with the manufacturer.
2. Ban all sellers from selling the product requiring a re-apply to sett.
3. Simply remove the product from the catalog.
Amazon puts out very little effort in resolving this issue, just eliminate the product and it is resolved.
Of course, if the seller has no commercial account with the manufacture, Amazon considers it bogus and will not return it to the seller. They destroy the product by placing it on a pallet and selling it out the back door. Remember, Amazon likes to make a profit off of anying they can.
