Can't edit my listing
My product was marked as a pesticide because I made antimicrobial claims. (It has essential oils with well-studied antimicrobial properties) I took the pesticide FIFRA training. Since this is for internal use it is exempt from the EPAs law, but Amazon doesn’t give a crap and I suspect they expect me to jump through some EPA hoops. I just decided that I was going to edit my product description to get rid of those claims since I don’t have to have them and I don’t want to go through all of the red tape and BS just to make those claims. The problem is that I cannot edit the listing. I click the edit button and it just takes me to a page saying that my product is not compliant. I cannot figure out how to edit the listing. I tried contacting Amazon support but they just told me that I need to edit the listing and remove the claims in order to be compliant. Duh, that’s what I have been trying to do. I emailed them back but got no response. How in the world do they expect me to edit my listing when their system won’t let me do so?

I sell life plants and depending on my wording, something like ‘deer proof’ or ‘mildew resistant’ will inevitable raise the pesticide flag. I also took the pesticide FIFRA training.
But still it happens every once in a while and my plants are considered pesticide.
I have been successful creating a case with Amazon and explain that these are simply life plants and please allow the listing.
This may help.

Hello @Evexia_Science
Having read your post, I perceive that you need assistance with addressing Restricted Product Policy violation.
You can modify information for products and listings either one at a time using the Manage Inventory tool in your seller account, or through an inventory file upload.
If you are not the only seller contributing information to a product detail page, you might find that some of your requested changes do not appear.
In most cases, changes you make to product information appear on Amazon within 5 minutes. However, some updates can take up to 6 hours.
Product descriptions longer than 500 characters are generally updated at 8:00 AM PST the following day. Images may take up to 24 hours to appear on a product detail page.
To edit details for an existing listing:
- On the Inventory menu, select Manage Inventory.
- Select the Active status filter above the product list.
- Find the listing you want to edit, and select Edit from the drop-down menu for that listing.
- Click the links at the top of the page to add, edit, or change the listing’s content. You can also type price and quantity updates in the text boxes in the Price and Quantity columns.
- Click Save and finish.
To change more than one product at a time through an inventory file upload, follow these steps:
- Under the Inventory menu, choose Manage Inventory .
- Click Add a product on the top right of the page and choose one of the options under List many products via bulk upload .

Hoping for a positive outcome. Thank you for writing to us.
