Problems with GTIN
Hello community!
I am having a problem with this issue. I have private label and bought a GTIN code on GS1.
When I am putting together the listing and I put in my brand name and GTIN code, it tells me that I need to request the exemption because I need authorization to sell, but it is my brand. When I go through the steps with the photos and everything to get it approved, I get the email response that says, “we are currently not accepting applications for this product.” I want to clarify that it is not a complex product, nor does it break AMZ rules. I don't know what to do anymore, please I need help, so I don't lose everything I've done so far.
Thank you all very much

OP: "e I need authorization to sell, but it is my brand"
Selling your own product is actually a 3 step process.
1.. First you get the approval to sell your branded name.
2. Second you may need to get approval to sell in the desired category.
3. Third, you may need to get approval to sell the exact product.
Each of the three steps are conducted by a different team. Amazon will not come right out and say this. That way Amazon can do what could be called nit-picking just to hole back new products from being listed.

Hello @Seller_oE27CIKTlRZPD,
Michelle at Amazon here. SELLC is kind of right, there is a process to get approval to sell your brand, even if it's not in Brand Registry. This is to ensure that you are not claiming a brand is yours on a product and it's actually another brand but you are adding your UPC to it.
Please follow the process with Seller Support providing real world images of all sides of your product packaging and a picture of your product, the product name and brand along with your GS1 certificate and UPC(s) you are going to use.
Once they have all the information, they will send it to the one team that reviews all of this and they will review the brand to be listed on Amazon. This is to help ensure brands protection, not to prevent new brands from being sold on Amazon.
If you need help after your case has been created and they have fully investigated, please provide me with your case ID and I would be happy to take a look for you.
It also appears that you are a new seller and I think you may find our New Seller Community helpful. It's a safe space where new sellers like you can ask questions. Please know that if you join this group, it does not mean that you can't contact us through the normal forums groups as well.
Wishing you the best with your sales!

Amazon should change its name to Hoopla. Everything you sell here on amazon is jumping through hoop after hoop. I just bought a Hula Hoop to help me list new items. LOL. amazon has to many rules.
