Stuck at LAS6: My Inventory Nightmare – Any Lifesavers Out There?
Hi Amazon Community,
I'm reaching out because I've hit a bit of a snag with my inventory and really need some advice or assistance. We sent a whole 40 ft container of our product (oversize) to the Amazon Fulfillment Center (LAS6) about a month ago. From what I understand, normally Amazon would distribute these across various fulfillment centers to make them Prime eligible. That's super important for customer reach and sales, right?
But here's the catch – our stock is still laying at LAS6, the West Coast. It hasn't moved an inch, which means no Prime for our products. 😕 Even worse? Another 40 ft container is on the way to the same warehouse. At the time of shipment we did not imagine this would not be fixed. This is a big deal for us because, without Prime, our customers keep complaining via messages, stop converting due 10-11 days delivery times for the East Coast and might leave 1 star ratings due to frustration that we cannot remove later on.
Has anyone else faced this? How did you handle it? Any tips on how to get Amazon to spread Our products across the country?
Here’s what's up:
- Calling Support: Been calling Amazon support like it's my day to night job and the fun fact is I spend more time talking with them than talking to my girlfriend LOL! But, all I get are these vague replies about being passed to their internal leadership team who handles these matters and they seem like automated bot answers. No real answers/help yet!
- Customer Feedback: Received rage messages from customers saying, "you just ship whenever is good for amazon screw the customer" Not the best thing to hear considering that the customers don’t know that I’m a FBA seller.
- Cancellations: More and more customers are canceling their orders. Waiting isn't their thing, considering that this current season is important to get their orders ASAP.
And check this out:
- Delivery Time Research: I did a bit of digging. Signed up for Prime and checked delivery times for different cities for all the 50 states! Results? Delivery can take anywhere from 2 to 12 days, depending on how close you are to the West Coast. Wild, right?
But here’s the kicker:
- Not Just Bad for Me: This isn’t just hurting my shop. It seems like a lose-lose for Amazon too. Imagine the cost of shipping individual orders all over from one spot. Wouldn’t spreading out the inventory make more sense for everyone?
I'm all for quick solutions and any advice would be gold right now. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
Help pleaseee!!!

Your situation may not need any help. Did your shipment arrive prior to the Amazon FBA reception cutoff day? If not, Amazon will not process it until after the start of the new year.

Hi @Seller_lIdejpmiksSbq,
Dominic from Amazon here, would be happy to try to help with this. When was this shipment created and when did it arrive at the FC? Can you please provide me both the shipment ID and a few of the case ID's you created for this?
I look forward to hearing from you!
Best,
Dominic

Im not trying to be a jerk. You sent in a container "about a month ago"?
Amazon had a deadline to receive merchandise by Oct 26th to be able to sell for Christmas Holidays.
Amazon has shifted resources to order fulfillment now and has really slowed (possibly stopped) receiving material.
Most likely.....your material will be received closer to New Years day and up for sale by mid-January

Amazon does not distribute oversize products, it stays in the FC you have sent it in.
If you want to be covered nationwide you will need to ship to multiple FC's

Unfortunately it does sounds like you missed the inventory deadline for the season. If you shipped it to Amazon a Month ago you were already passed the deadline for them to receive it. The deadline for Amazon was at the end of October the inventory needed to be at Amazon to be received. The good news for you is that the inventory will start being received most likely in the early/middle of January.
Amazon may choose to receive it earlier but there is no priority this time of year in receiving inventory, the focus is on the outbound/order fulfillment and transfers. Seeing how your goods are larger in size I think it may be the reason they have not received as well.
As I mentioned it will begin being received, unfortunately you are probably waiting a few weeks yet. We have POs at Amazon from early November that are stuck in the "Receiving" Status and others in the "In-Transit" where the carrier detail shows delivered.
