Amazon’s Unfair Price Policies Are Crippling My Business
Hello Amazon Community,
I'm at a breaking point with an ongoing issue regarding Amazon's "Competitive External Price." My 3-pack product is priced at $17.99, but Amazon insists on a reduction to $11.97, comparing it to a site where a single pack is $3.99—without including shipping costs. This comparison is impacting my ability to secure the Buy Box, even though I am the sole seller and brand owner.
I’ve had detailed conversations with seller support through both phone and email, and they agree that this external price comparison is unjust as it excludes shipping costs. Despite their acknowledgment, the internal team hasn’t addressed this oversight.
This situation is critically affecting my sales. I'm left with thousands of inventory units, and a mandated price of $11.97 would result in a substantial loss per sale. Furthermore, I have no control over the pricing on the other site, and changing it doesn't make sense without shipping being considered.
Amazon, you're seriously hurting us with these nonsensical policies. This situation makes no sense and needs to be resolved immediately!

It is intentionally harming small business with intent to eliminate and drive sales to Amazon sold items on this failing platform. Don't forget when they do this and remove buy box stopping 95% of natural sales they give customers a very disrespectful impression of us sellers like we are horrible to buy from! We have 340 of our better selling items either removed or price fixed to out of date msrp after Amazon deletes all sales data. This is the only platform where the host attacks its users and all for profit just like the new NETFLIX movie!

I am having this exact same issue. My item is priced at $19.99 but Amazon insists on pricing it at $15.00 so now I am also losing out on the Buy Box and also not receiving any PPC data because of this issue. With a $15.00 price, I am losing on each sale. I told Seller Support that I am a Private Label seller and my item is customized so why should I be experiencing this "competitive external price?" I have a ton of inventory also and it's not selling due to me not securing the buy box. It is absolutely ridiculous!

I am so sorry this is happening. Every day I hope that people will wake up and stop shopping on Amazon so that the flow of commerce can be more evenly spread out instead of concentrated in one place. But my dream hasn't come true yet.
Good luck and hang in there. I'm sorry that we're all handcuffed here because the hoi polloi hasn't woken up to the fact that Amazon is terrible for humanity.
