It's being done automatically over time, seemingly for everyone. Mine happened last month. It seems Brazil is now considered part of the Unified Americas Account.

I just put it into vacation mode and forgot about about it.

Hello @Seller_rr45B3vDsauwa,

Michelle at Amazon here. As others have mentioned, Brazil is now part of the North America unified accounts. You can read more on it here. If you do not want to list in Brazil, simply do not add items to that portion of your account. If you have any technical issues, please reach out to Selling Partner Support and provide me with the case ID if they are not able to assist.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Regards,

Michelle

I was having a computer glitch and accidentally deleted my reply.

DO NOT ask Amazon to delete it or you may lose your account due to all the BOTS and AI cr#$.

ONLY do what @Seller_oJY2X570rx42E stated and put it on vacation.

Study this thread about a long term seller that had their entire account deleted and has spent going on three MONTHS trying to recover it.

AMAZON has no clue as to how to reinstate it despite AMAZON having deleted it. 🤬🤬🤬

Here we go again. WHY are they doing this? Dont they realize this could also result in potential hacker fraud? The more countries, the more risk of being hacked. We dont want to sell in Brazil. We never signed up for it. We are going to put it on VACATION MODE, TODAY! Amazon, please ASK before you sign us up for another country. Not helping us here.

Amazon posted notices several months ago that they were adding Brazil to the North American Unified Account. You have access to it, but that doesn't mean you have to sell there. You will only "automatically" start selling in Brazil if you have your account to automatically build international listings.

Something to remember about vacation mode (mentioned by others) is that it only effects your FBM listings. If you are selling through FBA then vacation mode will do absolutely nothing.

When it comes to FBA there are two ways that a customer from Brazil (or other countries) can purchase your US product... They can go to Amazon.com and purchase directly from the US and have it shipped, or they can purchase from their country website through the Remote Fulfillment program. If they are going through the US site, you can change that in your settings. If they are going through remote fulfillment, you can go to this page in seller central to adjust the settings:

https://sellercentral.amazon.com/rafn/inventory/home

The nice thing about remote fulfillment is that is costs you absolutely nothing (the customer pays the international shipping/duties) and gives you an easy way to sell products in additional marketplaces. You will have to login to the country specific accounts and update listings, prices, monitor account issues, etc. (its essentially like having a completely separate selling account) but if it isn't going to cost you anything extra, why not use it? We use it and we typically see sales amounting to about 10% of our US sales (without ever having to go through the legal hassles of shipping/selling product internationally!)
