Fed ex is a rip off
i am legit done shipping thru fed ex over the past month ive had over 200 dollars in adjustments just from fed ex claiming might dimensions were off and the weight as well. I recently sent a package that weighed no more than 7 pounds and fed ex audited it and claimed the package weighed over 30 pounds for 6 boxes of graham crackers. Just seems like they are randomly put dimensions and weight and its literally killing my profits is anyone else having this issue with fed ex?

Hello @Seller_lESgLJ3gHXoc7
If you share your Case ID, I can review the details and determine the reason for the adjustment and what your options are to dispute the carrier-audited information and adjustment.
If you have not already submitted a support case, you can request a dispute of the adjustment. I recommend including photos and/or product details showing that your original label information was accurate. Please note that FedEx One Rate has a strict 2200-cubic-inch / 50-pound limit. Larger/heavier shipments will not qualify.
If the package dimensions were larger than the original label information, the updated weight may be dimensional weight and not actual weight.

Yes, many sellers have been victimized by Fedex. Over the top "adjustments" using Fedex One seems to be the common thread, no recourse via Fedex or Amazon.

Yes, we stopped using fed ex after we found they adjust package weights anytime they see fit. I also believe what they are doing is fraud. They show the lowest prices of all the carriers and then just adjust the label prices afterwards. We were doing 20-30 fed ex packages a day and now haven't sent a single thing with them in almost 2 months. So they stuck us with a few hundred dollars in adjustments and now they lose our $100,000 worth of business per year going forward.

We get fraudulent adjustments all the time. We just got a one-rate box adjusted up $30+. When we called FedEx they said that one rate doesn't apply to our own packaging, although it's clear that it should.

It's not just FedEx, UPS is doing it too. Skimming, stealing, padding, adjusting...it's all THEFT.
Whenever I drop off a package at UPS, I watch what the scale there says, and it's ALWAYS higher than what my high-cost engineering scale shows. I even brought an engineering calibration weight made of brass that weighed exactly one pound to test on their scale. When I called them out on it, I asked if the scales there were certified or regulated in any way and of course... they are not. That's why gas pumps have certification seals from the dept of weights & measures...because gas station owners were rigging their 'scales' as well.
Welcome to the wide world of Scamazon, it's much bigger than just here, unfortunately.

FedEx is the worst, acting criminally in adjustments. It is also an industry-wide issue. USPS is doing the same. Somehow, they found a loophole, possibly a tech company leading this criminal activity, which called it "adjustments" to pocket some extra profits for their investors. It isn't very good, but it is what it is.

LOL but not LOL. We have no issues with FedEx as we don't let Amazon control our FedEx account. On the other hand, if UPS is ever involved with a shipment, you will ALWAYS receive unexpected charges even if you enter correct weights and dimensions. UPS stroked us for over $4000 for one month as they have a deal with Amazon to steal money from sellers even if weight and dimensions are correct. We DO NOT buy UPS labels through Amazon for that very $4000 loss reason.

I have an item that weighs exactly 2 pounds. I have sold hundreds of these for the last seven years.
Now they are intermittantly hitting me with a 3 pound rate. Go figure.

There appears to be ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY for any chargebacks from postal carriers; they all can claim whatever dimensions and weight they want and Amazon just accepts them and pushes through the charge. FedEx is clearly the most abusive of this practice though and appears to be using it as a new way to enhance profit.

Yes. I have been fighting FedEx carrier audits with Amazon seller support for months. There were no discrepancies between the entered and audited weight/dimensions. Just be persistent and open a case with seller support until you get your money back.
