So I received this email today:

Hello from Amazon,

We are writing to let you know that the following detail pages have been removed from our catalog:

ASIN: B009F1ZYO2 Title: Good Kid, m.A.A.d City: A Short Film

This product has been identified as escrima sticks, bo staff, or a similar blunt force striking device. Amazon policy prohibits the listing or sale on Amazon escrima sticks and similar blunt force striking devices.

The product is a vinyl record which has more than 40 sellers on it and is in the top 30 music products. This is clearly a mistake. OK.

I appealed it five times as this item is obviously not a weapon or blunt force striking device and within 2 minutes I receive this response from various Amazon reps that are obviously in India (IE: V Srinivas R. and Sayan Kumar M. and Samreen B.) all of whom would not have even had time to read my reply as they replied within 1-2 minutes with the below email - literally copy and paste - all the same:

Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,

We have considered your request for the review of ASIN: B009F1ZYO2 and have determined it currently meets our restricted products policy criteria.

I then call Amazon and the rep says the following in the follow up email:

Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,

We apologize that our call was interrupted. We understand your concern regarding the listing that was incorrectly flagged as a Restricted product (weapon).

B009F1ZYO2

Upon checking, there is no restriction at all in your listing. This listing can be found in your fix stranded inventory showing as missing SKU reason. Therefore, I advised you to relist your item

The item then completely disappears from my inventory - not in stranded - literally nowhere.

I call amazon again and the rep says to me that this is the craziest thing he has ever seen so far and then says he will file some internal case to fix it but I need to wait for the team to handle. He could not locate the product in my inventory and was dumfounded.

Here is his follow up email:
Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,

I understand that you are inquiring about the reinstatement for ASIN B009F1ZYO2. I can understand how that would be difficult, please allow me to assist you.

As we spoke, I have created a case with our team specialized in this type of situations, informing them of the issue, also I have requested them to contact us back once they are able to get a resolution.

We will contact you as soon as I receive this information from the team in charge. I understand this is very important for you and I will handle it with high priority.

Please use this case as reference if you have any further concerns on this matter.

So as of now, the FBA inventory of this product has literally disappeared from my account along with the listing itself. I have a incorrect policy warning for this ASIN where it was flagged as a weapon (it’s a vinyl record), and I really don’t know what to do to get this resolved.

If a MOD can reach out to me, I would appreciate it.
