Pokemon does not require Letters of Authorization

Pokemon does not require Letters of Authorization if the product is obtained from a legitimate distributor:

img

So, why does Amazon continue to ask for this piece of information that Pokemon has admitted to not requiring or offering?

Amazon house, Amazon rules.

The INFORM Act and all the potential fines on websites has caused a cataclysmic shift in rules and requirements.

Sell elsewhere that will allow you to without the requirement.

Short answer - Amazon doesn't want you to sell Pokemon.

I feel your pain and I dont have a solution for you.

I can only add I have sent a email to seller support from Electronic Arts which stated EA was allowing my profile the sale of EA Games on Amazon - denied.

I purchased 10 units of Electronic Arts Games, first was denied due to not being an invoice, I then sent the invoice and it was denied.

The worst part is I sold an Electronic Arts game on another platform and an approved seller bought it and listed on Amazon for triple the price. SMH!

Lastly there are MANY products incorrectly branded as Electronic Arts - I suggested a change, contacted seller support and AMAZON WILL NOT CORRECT.

Example ASIN B00002SULK

I feel you on this.

We purchased a bunch of Bluey pajamas directly from the manufacturer knowing beforehand that Amazon required a purchase invoice to be submitted to list the brand.

So we get the goods and submit the invoice to Amazon. Denied.

Amazon requested a ton of documentation for our supplier's supplier to prove a valid supply chain. We provided it to Amazon. Denied

We then got submitted the legal contract showing affiliation between the manufacturer and the brand owner of Bluey and submitted it along with the previous documents. Denied.

We then got a document from the rights owner of Bluey showing that our manufacturer and their factory in China were approved by them to manufacturer Bluey pajamas. Submitted that as well as all previous documents. Denied.

We ended up cutting our losses and wholesaling the item.

Amazon requires the LOA. You are not trying to meet Pokeman's requirements to sell here (per the email), they are Amazon's requirements. Get your LOA from an authorized distributor if you can.

the CPSC debacle delisted a TON of pokemon plushes, only to get replaced with counterfeits. and well, the counterfeits can provide all this red tape documentation, so they're still kicking.

Aren't there only like 3 legitimate wholesale distributors worldwide with like a 20k minimum order? If you bought through one of these and not a RETAIL distributor you should have all the required paperwork, right?

If nothing else you can probably resell to any local card shops in your area. They normally buy from a middle mans, who bought from another middle man and pay almost the retail cost since they can't buy enough to qualify for wholesalers themselves.
