does the Pet supply category need to be ungated before selling anything in it's subcategories?
I want to enter the pet supply category for my first ever listing. There is a bit confusion with gated categories.
1. Is the pet supply category gated where you are required to apply to sell in this category?
2. if yes, as a first time seller can I qualify to ungate the category?
3. if pet supply category is not gated would some or all of the subcategories be gated? how will i know?

Certain products cannot be listed or sold on Amazon or may be subject to additional requirements because they have legal or regulatory restrictions (for example, illegal drugs) or violate other Amazon policies (for example, crime scene photos).
For Pet Supplies, we accept products in conditions New, Certified refurbished, and Used. (1) The category itself does not require approval, (3) but certain sub-categories do.
When you are listing your product, (2) the type of listing will let you know if you need to apply to sell in the sub-category.
