Improperly placed category

I am the brand owner and registered trademark owner of the aforementioned product. When I started my account, I placed my product in a certain category which was accepted and overall relevant to my product. I later realized that about 90% of my competitors were in a different category, which I attempted to change through editing my listing category. I later discovered that amazon placed me in an entirely different category which is a similar chemical makeup of the category they placed it in, however that category is not the category that is intended for it’s use. The category manager keeps refusing my request, however 90% of competitors are in a a completely different category. I have tried calling them dozens of times and they have routed me to brand registry who claims they only communicate by email and yet it’s taking weeks for them to simply change my category. I have spoke with several reps that do not understand why they keep giving me this hassle. any advise?
