Restocking Products with Different Expiration Dates

I am planning to send a new delivery soon to restock my products to FBA with the same ASINs but have later expiration dates than the inventory the FBA warehouses currently have. Will FBA deliver the original stock with the earlier expiration date prior to selling the new stock that expires later on?

No, FBA will not check the expiry dates, nor do they use any sort of FIFO system; they'll grab whatever is closest.

The way that most people handle this is to use a new sku for the new expiry date; although I'm not sure what you do to make sure that the older one sells first; the only suggestion I've heard is to price the new sku much higher, but I would hope there is a better way.

Hey there @Seller_oMpHXNjyp1UvU,

As Nisha alludes to above, many sellers often use different SKUs based on the expiration date of their lot/product when utilizing FBA as the myriad factors in an order - including location - don't allow a guarantee of FIFO with inventory positioned around the market and multiple sites. I'd recommend checking out some past threads here on forums discussing the topic via the search tab if so inclined.
