Pricing Issue - support ticket 16801415451
Recently one of our book listings was taken down by Amazon - I was told there was a pricing error. The pricing range we posted was was low $19.95 and high $29.95 with our price in the middle. I opened the ticket and spoke to Amazon support. The rep I spoke to said that he had to refer this matter to the appropriate team, whatever that was supposed to be. After around a week we finally got a reply saying that our pricing was too low and we had to raise it. The list price for the book is $29.95 but they managed to pull the price of $43 out of their hats, or wherever else they keep such information. How is this an example of Amazon working for their customers when they are trying to force me to inflate my prices and, in the process, price myself out of the market? They will not listen to reason. I am hoping that someone from the company will take this up and knock some common sense into those responsible.
