APO Free Economy Shipping?

Am I obligated to provide free economy shipping to a seller with an APO address since I did not select that region in my Free Economy shipping settings? It is like 3 times the normal shipping rate...

Provide free shipping to a seller? This doesn't make sense.

Your shipping templates allow you to treat all but the 48 contiguous states differently.

If you are talking about an existing order, then you are obligated to honor whatever shipping you already "quoted" for that order.

If your templates are set up incorrectly, you should fix them for future.

I don't favor using free economy since it comes with built-in Amazon conditions.

For the listings where I offer free shipping it is just done on the Standard shipping choice with zero as the per order charge and zero as the per item charge.

An APO address is one in the lower-48. It should be the same price as if sending to a house in the area. When we did more FBM (and with our sales on other platforms) we're happy to ship to APO/FPO/DPO and even US Territories for the same price. (note: our FBM products are 4oz - 5#, so USPS is our preferred carrier).

I ship a lot to APO/FPO/DPO addresses. As @River_Retail notes there should not be anything that costs excessively over a normal shipment.

The only thing I can think of is if you are using AMAZON shipping and they have determined the delivery date requires Priority or Express instead of First Class OR the weights and measurements of the shipment are screwed up.

Thank you to everyone who responded. I certainly appreciate the information and guidance. Obviously, I am a newbie and these shipping templates have been the hardest thing for me to grasp in this entire learning process. So, just to clarify...I have a 1lb 3oz 9x6x4 package I need to ship Free Economy to an APO address. I have been using Amazon shipping thus far. This time, the pricing just seemed so much higher than it has been running. These were the only 2 options I was given to select from.USPS Priority Mail® Large Flat Rate Box

$18.35 - Fri, Jun 30

USPS Priority Mail Express®

$35.15 - Fri, Jun 23

Does this pricing seem right to you guys, am I missing something?

Again, thanks for all the advice. I really do appreciate it!!!
