We are making several changes to the Amazon Services Business Solutions Agreement. These changes will enter into effect in 15 days, that is, April 26, 2022. The changes are based on feedback from our sellers, and the key changes are summarized below:
• Section 11 of the General Terms: inclusion of the following at the end: “We act as a data controller of any customer personal data collected via the Services. You are controller of the customer personal data that are strictly necessary to fulfill orders and may not use any such customer personal data (including contact information) for any purpose other than fulfilling orders or providing customer service in connection with a Service”.
• Sections F-3.3 and F-3.3.1 “Shipping to Amazon”: inclusion of new sections to allow that selling partners that use the FBA service benefit from discounted shipping rates from certain carriers, when available, to ship products to Amazon fulfillment centers.
• Section F-9.2 “Compensation": inclusion of information about charging discounted shipping rates referred to in Section F-3.3.
• Section API-2.5 “Security of Materials”: updated to include “Confidential Information” on the title and add some guidelines to selling partners on the text.
This list doesn't include all of the changes, so please review the updated agreement carefully; an English redlined version is available here. And if you have questions, please reach out to Selling Partner Support. Your continued use of selling services after April 26 constitutes your acceptance of the updated agreement.
As always, our goal is to help you and all our selling partners continue to succeed with Amazon and grow your businesses around the world. Thank you for being an Amazon Selling Partner.
