Shipping Region Automation

Shipping Settings Automation

You can now enable automation on new or existing shipping templates to set up shipping regions based on Correios transit times and rate cards. The new workflow will help you set up and update shipping regions based on your ship-from location, and Correios’ coverage (i.e., set my regions based on Correios Encomenda 2 for PAC, from your shipping location).

Shipping Settings Automation FAQ

How does Amazon automate shipping regions?

Regions are determined based on Correios’ delivery speeds and shipping fees. Amazon aggregates regions according to similar transit times and similar rates, from your shipping location to destination regions where customers order from. Changes are made periodically, according to Correios’ updates, to ensure maximum possible adherence to shipping cost and speeds.

How many shipping locations can I select?

You can select one shipping location. Delivery regions will be a set of union (or sum) or all regions that the selected shipping services can deliver from each shipping location for Standard and Expedited Delivery orders.

What ship methods should I select?

You should select the shipping services that you are using to ship orders (standard, expedited delivery). All the displayed shipping services in the Shipping Preference Selector are eligible for selection.

Can I select multiple shipping services?

Yes. Please select all shipping services that you intend to use for your orders. Regions will be set as a union (or sum) of all regions that the selected shipping services can deliver.

How do I know which rate card to pick?

You have three options:

  1. In case Correios is your main carrier and you have a contract: check the name of the rate card in your contract. The name will be either “Encomenda” and a number, or “Bronze/Prata/Ouro/Infinite”. Encomenda 0 or Bronze are the most expensive, Encomenda 16 or Infinite are the cheapest rate cards;
  2. In case Correios is your main carrier and you don’t have a contract: you can choose rate card “Balcão”, which contains prices paid at Correios’ counter.
  3. In case Correios is not your main carrier, you can still use the automated template as a proxy to your contract with other carriers. Encomenda 0 or Bronze are the most expensive, Encomenda 16 or Infinite are the cheapest rate cards. After choosing a rate card, you can still change shipping fees to specific regions where you have specific carriers with better prices.

What is Delivery zone limit?

Delivery zone limit allows you to control more precisely the shipping regions for the expedited method. If a ship method’s eligible expedited coverage spans across multiple zones, and consequently results in different shipping costs, you can control shipping costs by limiting the expedited regions using delivery zone. You can leave the Amazon default value if they do not need to restrict shipping regions by zone. You can verify the shipping costs by zones on Correios’ website.

How do I know when regions are changed?

Whenever Amazon updates a region in Auto-populated shipping template, Amazon will create a new version of the shipping template. If you wish regions, rates and transit times are automatically adjusted, switch the Auto-refresh toggle in your shipping template. You can review and see all these changes in shipping template’s history.
