Eligibility Criteria for FBA

FBA in Brazil is in the early stages of launching and the program is currently invite only and restricted to a select set of sellers. For further information look for future communications regarding the expansion of the FBA program.

To be registered in FBA you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Only sellers registered with CNPJ Federal Tax ID can be enrolled in FBA. The program is not open for sellers registered with CPF. You check your registered Federal Tax ID in Seller Central here.
  • The Federal Tax ID registered in your account must be valid a CNPJ in São Paulo State. Sellers with a CNPJ from other states are currently not eligible for FBA.
  • The CNPJ registered in your account must be under the Simples Nacional tax regime. If you are under Normal tax regime (Lucro Presumido or Lucro Real) you are not eligible for FBA.
Note: Consult your external accountant or advisors to confirm your tax regime.

As defined by FBA policies, when registered in FBA you will also need to use our Invoicer to be able to operate in the program, following the conditions below:

  • All FBA sellers, including MEIs, are required to issue tax invoices for all transactions performed under the program. No exemptions will apply.
  • Your CNPJ must be in active status.
  • You must have a valid and active State Inscription (I.E.) registered in the state of São Paulo.
  • Only Sellers with full classification under the tax regime Simples Nacional (CRT=1) are allowed to operate in FBA. Tax regime Normal (CRT=3) or Simples Nacional – excesso de sublimite da receita bruta (CRT=2) are not allowed.
  • You will need a digital certificate A1 of your registered CNPJ.
  • Your will need to provide tax attributes for your products.

Note for FBA Onsite sellers: You have FBA features available in your Seller Central, but if your account does not meet the criteria above you will not be able to send inventory to Amazon FCs. Therefore, some FBA features will not work for you, such as: Shipment Creation, Send/Replenish Inventory and removals.

Important: If your Amazon account is created in Brazil, you will not be able to register for an FBA account in other countries. You will have to create a new account in the marketplace you would like to sell in.
